WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW...

THE PROSPERITY PROJECT  - OUR TRUE WEALTH  This project is based on the truth that the land and food supply are our real wealth; everything else is secondary.  We're involved in several gardens in Marin and Sonoma Counties, where we are teaching Spanish speaking workers about organic gardening and preparing meals from the gardens.

GARDEN NEWS:

Our community garden has kept producing chard, lettuces, turnips, rutabagas, kale, broccoli and cabbages all through the winter. Now we are enjoying the greens in our salads.

EVENTS AND DINNER PARTIES:  We have a Power Point presentation about the gardens that includes information on the current threats to our food supply caused by unnatural practices of Agribusiness.:  Genetic Engineering; Chemical Pollution; Loss of Topsoil; Peak Oil and Food Prices; and MonoCrops.
Call us to schedule a presentation to your group:
415-499-0907.

We have plans to provide organic produce for the Farm Stand in Marin City, where residents do not even have a grocery store.

You can Help!

Your contributions in any amount will really help! Here’s how:

The Prosperity Project: Human Health Begins with the Health of the Earth

“La Salud Humana Comienza con la Salud de la Tierra.”

As gas prices soar, so does the price of food that we transport by truck from faraway places. We’re building a work force to create local gardens to provide good, organic food for all. This work force will include unemployed youth and Spanish speaking students in our School of Organic Gardening (Escuela de Gardineria Organica). We have three gardens in Marin and Sonoma Counties to date, with more envisioned.

A donation of:

$1.00 - $5.00 - will help purchase seeds and bedding plants for the gardens.

$10.00 - $25.00 - will provide nutritious lunches for up to 5 gardeners.

$50.00 - will go into a scholarship fund for Spanish speaking students.

$100.00 - buys tools, hoses and other garden equipment.

$1000.00 or more goes into a fund to purchase a truck to transport students and produce to local markets.Family Home Project

We’ve created a home and family in our share rental house in San Rafael. People who live here practice wholistic health on many levels, including gardening organically in the yard. We’d like to create more similar homes.

A donation of:

$1.00 - $5.00 - will help purchase seeds and bedding plants for the garden at the house.

$10.00 - $25.00 - helps us advertise our Community Supported Agriculture program.

$50.00 - pays counselors, body workers and inspirational speakers to work with the residents. This creates a complete program all in one home where residents can heal themselves without having to run around to different places to get what they need.

$120.00 - hires a professional Edible Landscaping consultant for three hours.

$1000.00 or more - will go into a fund for converting the garage into a food storage and seed saving facility.

$5000.00 - would enable us to secure an additional house and serve more low income renters.

Let’s Get Healthy and Stay Healthy!

A wholistic health service for low income clients. We make information, classes and services available to people who normally cannot afford alternative health care.

A donation of:

$10.00 - $25.00 - Buys food for a nutritious educational potluck event.

$50.00- provides a Massage, Energy Massage or Gestalt session for a low income client.
